Lead times, Build times and Delivery times explained.

So, you’re interested in purchasing a shepherds hut, wondering what a lead time is and how it works?

Well, a lead time is the time between now and the day your shepherds hut build begins, so for example our current lead time is 5 months but this can change at any point before an order is placed, once an order is secured our lead time for your build is set and does not change, the lead time consists of the huts prior to yours build time, all of our huts are completed on time therefore your lead time never changes and build slot is never pushed back unless you have requested us to.

What’s a build time and will it actually be finished in this time?

A build time is the time between commencing the build and finishing, the build time we allow 2 weeks for, we are without fail on time with these deadlines and pride ourselves on having every hut built and delivered as originally scheduled.

When can I have it delivered and is your team capable of getting it where I want it?

We like to allow a week from the build finishing to delivery to allow us to thoroughly clean and PDI the huts, this isn’t always the case, sometimes these are sent out the day after being finished but very much depends on the circumstances.

Regarding delivery, our team are highly skilled in what they do, I have seen some gut wrenching deliveries from the team, no job to hard, they have pushed across the trailer ramps over ditches, they had ramped down dead drops and made tricky turns in the woods and on steep hills with lakes below. I must say our team is impressive with their delivery skills.

One of our many testimonies – “ We shopped around and found Rob and Tom. We found both easy to work with and responsive. Costings were clear and detailed, with flexibility in design from the design stage. We specified different switches and a fridge/freezer unit. These were not something that the team had used before, but as a customer/manufacturer team we collaborated to find innovative designs to accommodate the unit. All of that communication was dealt with through site visits, but mainly WhatsApp text and video calls. When there were inevitably initial differing of understanding , we found common ground and design solutions came quickly. An absolute credit to the professional approach shown throughout our build. Delivery was highly skillful into a very confined space – reversing down slopes and having to use ramps. Aftercare is also good with a few minor post build issues rectified quickly. I would like to stress that the team delivered on time and on budget without any nasty surprises. That’s highly commendable and I’d not hesitate in recommending them to anyone.
